This policy explains how Hakaya Group (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you use this website, contact us, apply to work with us, or travel on a service we operate.

1. Who we are

This website is run by Tareeq Al-Hakaya for Bus Rental, the main operating company of Hakaya Group, with offices in Amman and Zarqa, Jordan. It is responsible for the personal information sent through this website. When another Hakaya Group company provides a service to you, that company is responsible for the information it uses for that service. You can reach us using the contact details at the end of this policy.

2. Information we collect

When you contact us through the website: your name, organisation, email address, phone number, the topic you choose and your message. The form sends these to us by email; the website does not keep a copy. To stop spam, the website keeps a coded (hashed) version of your IP address for one hour to count how many messages are sent.
When you apply for our internship programme: your name, university ID number, email address, phone number, university, degree, major, expected graduation year, grade point average, the department and dates you would prefer, an optional LinkedIn link, your CV and your statement of motivation. Unlike the contact form, the website does keep your application and CV, so that our HR team can review it. CVs are stored in a protected folder that cannot be opened from the internet, and only the staff who manage applications can see them. We also email you a confirmation and send your application to our careers team.
When you ask about another job: the details you choose to send us through the contact form, such as the role, your experience and how to reach you.
When we provide transport for a client: passenger details our client gives us to run the service, such as names, pick-up points and trip times. We handle this information on behalf of, and as instructed by, that client.
On our vehicles: some vehicles may be fitted with location tracking and, on some services, cameras, used for passenger safety, incident investigation and service reports. Recordings are seen only by authorised staff and shared only with the client or the authorities where needed.
When you visit this website: technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, which our hosting provider records in server logs for security and to keep the site working.

3. How we use it

To reply to your enquiry and prepare proposals and quotations.
To plan, run and improve the transport services we provide.
To assess job and internship applications.
To keep our website and systems secure and to prevent misuse.
To meet our legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.

We use personal information in line with the data-protection law that applies in Jordan: with your consent, or where the law allows us to without it, for example to perform a contract with you or your organisation, to meet a legal obligation, or to protect our systems and services.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only when needed:

with companies within Hakaya Group that help provide the service;
with service providers that support us, such as our website host and our email and IT providers, who may use it only to provide their services to us;
with the client for whom we run a transport service, as part of that service;
with public authorities, when the law requires it.

5. Information sent outside Jordan

Some of our service providers, such as our website host and email provider, may store or process information on servers outside Jordan. When this happens, we use providers that protect information to a standard at least as high as ours, and we take the steps Jordanian law requires for such transfers.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for, and for any longer period the law requires, for example for accounting, tax or contract records. Messages sent through the website’s contact form arrive in our email system and are not stored on the website. Internship applications are stored on the website while our HR team needs them for the programme; you can ask us to delete yours at any time by emailing career@hakayagroup.com. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

7. Security

We protect personal information with technical and organisational measures, including access controls, encrypted (HTTPS) connections to this website and staff confidentiality. No system is completely secure. If a security incident affects your information, we will act to contain it and tell you and the authorities where the law requires.

8. Your rights

Subject to the law, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we may need to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the competent data-protection authority in Jordan.

9. Cookies

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. It may set one cookie, pll_language, to remember whether you chose English or Arabic; it holds no personal information and expires after a year. If you sign in to manage the website, WordPress sets the cookies it needs to keep you signed in. The contact form does not use cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site still works but may not remember your language. If we add other cookies, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

10. Children

This website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through it. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it. When we transport pupils, we receive and handle their information through their school or the responsible authority, only to run the service safely.

11. Links to other websites

Our website may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
